I am huge on routines, planning, preparation and organisation to the very last detail. This is important and wise in my opinion, however, sometimes, living an “organised” life can be outright plain BORING and too obvious.
So sometimes when I have had enough of the routines and the whole organization shebang, I loosen up alittle and let the moment/ present dictate my actions.
Life is too short to not live in the present sometimes.
Many of us spend most of our time in the present actually “living for the future” because we believe it is the right thing to do..
We know exactly what we want in the next five years, we can explain exactly how we are working toward achieving it, how we will handle the set backs, I mean we have it all planned like it is happening in the next five minutes.
However, we barely notice the blue skies, the laughter of people around us, the needs of some people around us, conversation, beautiful relationships, friendships, the beauty of nature, the boundless love accorded to us, the drama that life is, because we are busy making plans, chasing dreams and goals, making sure we do all it takes for us to actually have the future we dream of having that we forget to acknowledge the present.
How about we just take some time, and have the “dream Present” instead, Live life like there is no future, no plan, no goals, be a bit reckless and messy, etc..
Sometimes, we need to stop, be present and enjoy the moment.
